It depends on the genetic make up of your lineage.

I'm italian and had a full beard at 15. american indians, Uh I mean "Native Americans" rarely grow much facial hair.

It may start at earlier ages for some ethniciities, but by 28, if you aint got any, you just won't have any. no big deal.

just think of the hassle %26amp; expense of shaving you get to avoid.

If I work in an office environment I have to shave in the morning and again around lunch time to avoid an early "5 O'Clock shadow".

Unless you converting to Muslim, where facial hair is a must, consider yourself lucky.

for a full facial hair i will say 19-20 but for you....i would say go downtown more often if you know that i mean lol that might help... hahah =]

Hey that's OK, you aren't alone. My hubby of 30+ years took forever to grow facial hair...he was always teased that in his late 20's %26amp; beyond he was still going through puberty! But this seemed to be true because of his genetic/hormonal makeup. He has Norweigien/Swede type genetics; light skin(which tans nicely though),blonde hair %26amp; blue eyes. His fathers side of family had absolutely no hairy chests or body hair %26amp; baldy or hair receded early on, when approaching their later years. I believe many of these factors has some influence. However,. my hubby did indeed grow facial hair in his late 20's every year he would shave his mustache off for his Mom on Mother's day, then long winters he would grow the beard scene as a competition between him %26amp; his brothers. Today hubby STILL has a mustache but stays away from the beard scene because with age he is now showing the salt %26amp; pepper mix revealing his age...hahha Hope I helped you a bit...with hearing some characteristics that possibly you have as well!

I have two sons, one can grow a full beard in about a week the other just never gets much past the sparse stage. The one who gets the full beard started getting it very young (around 14) and he hates it, has to shave all the time. The other wishes he could grow his, no accounting.

Both are very dark though. I'm pretty sure if you don't have it by now you are not going to get it, so just make the most of what you have and groom it well, there are some lovely styles out there that work very well with most facial types (experience from son,lol).
