What is your experience with Laser Hair Removal? My wife wants to have it on legs and facial hair on

I am concerned with health effects, as there is not enough data. Is there anyone who has good or bad experience with this or heard anything? Thanks to all answerers.

I have read this information thru a health article published in the middle east related to plastic surgery: According to the latest improvement in health science, laser hair removal is new technology which is an alternative method of temporary hair removal from specified areas (mostly all human parts) specially under arms, legs, chins.

An Experienced doctor (specially a plastics surgeon) is the safest person to do this, in the hospital with clean environment.

The doctor says that it is the safest method, because the laser (they didnot told me which laser that is) is reacting only on the hair root (the growing area of the hair)

Some says this will work for permanent hair removal, some argues with opposite that is temporary method, but doctor's answer is this is permanent

BUT this laser method of hair removal will work the BEST for black hairs, but very minimal or some time not with blonde hairs , and white hairs

Go see a doctor. We are not qualified to answer something as serious as that. All I can offer you is my opinion... -- Laser is light and it works by concentrating it on a small spot. The heat produced will kill/burn the hair roots. No more than that so I doubt whether it is harmful as for example radiation would. What I will say is that laser treatment is VERY SLOW since the operator has to address EVERY hair and there are thousands of them...it becomes expensive... So expensive ? YES but dangerous, I do not think so. Does it hurt like hell ? YES... her skin and your wallet.

I looked into this and it is expensive and you keep having to get the treatments. I am not sure it totally works, and so I did not get it done.
