Long-term effects are unknown.

Anything that destroys hair can seriously damage skin and laser is essentially a heat process so burning and scarring are definite risks. There are also risks of discoloration -- there's not much use getting your moustache removed but ending up with a permanently-discolored moustache area which really gives the game away.

Actually, there's no easy answer on this one -- with laser one of the downsides is that you get a totally-bald area with none of the fine hairs left and so it's pretty obvious you've had treatment.

You should also be aware that growth of facial hair is brought about by higher than normal levels of testosterone, so unless you get your hormones into the normal "female" range the hair is likely to come back.
