I am currently receiving laser hair removal treatment as I suffer from polycystic ovaries (which causes facial hair). You should see your GP to find out why you have facial hair, if it is because of a medical condition you will be referred to a hospital for a consultation, although it can only be done on dark hair as fair hair doesn't respond to the laser. To answer your question if it hurts, well it does a bit. It feels like a burning sensation, however, it's not agony and the pain goes away almost immediately after having it done. The area you have had it also feels tender for a couple of days but if you have a serious problem with facial hair it's worth the pain. You will usually have to have about 6-8 sessions, it lasts about 3 mins and you have to wear sunscreen every day as there is side effects. You are young and if the hair is minimal I would advise bleaching or waxing but don't shave as it causes shaving rashes and makes the problem worse! Good luck :)

DO NOT BURN IT OFF. DO NOT SHAVE. Believe me, it will make it worse, sorry i am not sure about lazer. Are you sure it is all that bad sweetie? We all have facial hair and if you are looking in a mirror close up, it will look worse, but maybe it is not as bad as you think. I you are dark haired, you could possibly think about using a bleach after you have sought advice.

Pfft...blow those people off. You're thirteen and beautiful for being YOU. Don't worry about facial hair...everyone has some! Those people who are making fun of you are just being immature and aren't confident enough in their own looks, so they feel the need to shoot you down.

I dont know that any salon would use lazer on a 13 year old - unless it was a real problem you had. Anyway - Lazer does NOT hurt - it tingles a bit and can leave the skin a little red and tender for a very short while afterwards. xx

it hurts a little, just like waxing it off... however you're too young to get that done, your body's still changing and the hormones are still affecting you. i would recommend you wait until you stop growing... like when you're 18.
